When we say "MALL" the first thing that comes in our mind is shopping, but nowadays it is already an essential for us to visit the mall. We consumers get to buy a lot of things from there, most especially our necessities, we could also dine in or take home foods from restaurants, fast food chains and from food stalls. Entertainment is another feature of a shopping mall and amongst the reason of the consumers to visit the mall, entertainment might be the most likeable reason. One of the largest indoor theme park in the United States is located in Mall of America which has a theme of Nickelodeon Universe and offers the classic roller coaster and other numerous rides and attraction. The park features two new roller coasters which are the Spongebob Squarepants Rock Bottom Plunge and Avatar Air Bender and a new thrill ride called Brain Surge. They also have an 18 hole miniature golf which they call Moose Mountain and they are using a 2 inch high indoor grass mat on their game field. They also have a 300-foot long curved tunnel through 14 feet of water to view. It's called the SEA-LIFE Minnesota Aquarium with over 4,500 sea creatures.
Mall of America is located in Bloomington, Minnesota and is owned by the Triple Five Group. They opened the mall to the public last August 11, 1992 and receives a total of 40 million visitors annually. Which led them to become the second largest shopping mall in total area and largest in total store vendors in the United States. The mall of America has a gross area of 4,200,000 sq. ft. or 96.4 acres enough to fit seven Yankee Stadiums inside. The mall is organized into four different zones, each with its own decorative style. Last year, March 24, 2012, they announced the start of their 200,000,000 expansion that would build into the north parking lot of the mall and the initial plans for an additional hotel and additional 200,000 square feet of retail space.
Having a Themed Park Food Court at the level one of the mall only shows that they have a great indoor landscapes. Indoor plants and trees are everywhere for the theme park and the food court. Years from now this mall would be the grandest and largest mall in the whole world.
